Are you considering upgrading your skills to work in the fast-growing renewable energy market? Explore opportunities for training through the free informative lecture “Solar PV Systems: From Knowledge to Job in the Energy Transition” about the occupation of solar PV system installers on Wednesday, March 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Pula Craftsmen’s Association building. The lecture organized by the County of Istria – Regione Istriana, the Green Energy Cooperative (ZEZ) and IRENA – the Istrian Regional Energy Agency is intended for people with an electrical engineering profession, but also for other citizens from the area of the Istrian County who are interested in developing professionally in the field of solar energy.

The need for energy security and resistance to social crises, such as the energy crisis, but also the climate crisis, is driving increasing interest and investment in renewable energy in the European Union. This gives a great opportunity to solar energy, which has significant potential in Croatia.

The lecture will be held by the expert team of the Green Energy Cooperative, and it will be an opportunity to get to know the profession of solar PV system installers from every angle. Find out how solar PV systems for family homes function and what the technical-administrative process of investing in solar PV systems looks like. Discover the current legal conditions for the implementation of solar PV systems in Croatia, as well as the expectations and needs for support to potential users of solar PV systems. Get to know the key stakeholders in the solar energy market in Croatia and the current opportunities for training, certification and support in performing the work of solar PV system installers. Special guest lecturers from HEP Proizvodnja will additionally present the topic of using solar PV systems for the production of green hydrogen.

The program was developed in cooperation with numerous partners, including installers and designers of solar PV systems, to provide comprehensive knowledge about the energy transition through solar and increase capabilities for advising citizens who are planning their investment.

This event is organized within the “Good Energy – Solar Energy for Energy Transition” project, which deals with increasing capacity for energy production from renewable sources in Croatia. In addition to the lecture for the general public in Pula on March 1, as part of the project and with the support of Google.org, on the same day, a lecture on the profession of solar PV system installers for high school students from the Istrian County will be held at the Secondary School of Mate Blažina Labin.

The project “Good Energy – Solar Energy for Energy Transition” was financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) 2014 – 2021 with national co-financing by the Republic of Croatia within the “Energy and Climate Change” Program in the amount of 1.1 million EUR in grants.
