As part of the Good Energy – SEET project, the City of Čakovec has contracted the construction of a solar PV plant at the Čakovec City Pools “Marija Ružić”. After the public procurement process for the construction of the solar PV plant, the City of Čakovec has selected the Partner Electric d.o.o. from Velika Gorica as the contractor. The value of Partner electric d.o.o.’s offer was €182,432.28.
The mayor of Čakovec Ljerka Cividini and the director of the Partner Electrica d.o.o. Zoran Kalevski signed a contract which sets the construction deadline at 120 days. This pilot project will enable production of electricity with an installed power of 244,875 kW, i.e. a maximum peak power of 220 kW. This way, the City Pools will cover its needs for electricity, while the surplus will go the grid of the Croatian Electricity Company.
The Good Energy – SEET project brings together 11 partners: Istrian County, the cities of Cres, Čakovec, Ivanić-Grad, Poreč, Pula and Zaprešić, the Istrian Regional Energy Agency (IRENA), the Green Energy Cooperative (ZEZ) and two bilateral partners from Norway: Greenstaat Energy AS and Stiftelsen Seed Forum Norway. Together, they will install 22 solar PV plants with a total power of 1 MW which will produce over 1.2 million MWh of energy from the Sun and contribute to the reduction of almost 250,000 tons of CO2 per year.
The Good Energy – SEET project is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through Financial mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) 2014 – 2021 with national co-financing of the Republic of Croatia within the “Energy and Climate Change” Program in the amount of EUR 1.1 million. The total value of the project is EUR 1.4 million.
